GUU RICHMOND: TASTY YET TINY FOOD

After shopping at Aberdeen, J and I were being lazy to go somewhere else to eat. So, we instead went to Guu located on the second floor of Aberdeen Centre. Guu Richmond used to be one of J's regular drinking spots.
J got his usual YAKI UDON ($8.00) which consisted of pan-fried udon, beef, mushrooms, green onions with butter and soy sauce. It was topped with katsuobushi, seaweed strips and sesame seeds. Although I didn't find this dish anything special, it was J's favourite dish of the night as usual.
For the DAILY SPECIAL THREE KINDS OF SASHIMI ($15 for 6 pieces in total) we chose hamachi, salmon belly and aji sashimi, and added 2 orders of SALMON SASHIMI ($9.6) as well. They were very fresh in terms of texture and taste. Hamachi was my favouite of all!
DRUNKEN GARLIC BUTTER MUSSELS ($8.80)

KIRIN FROZEN BEER is a Japanese trend that is now available at Guu (Guu original and Guu richmond) Frozen beers are topped with a frosty swirl of beer foam that keeps the beer cold for about 30 mins. Although I already knew how it tasted like J wanted to try it out of curiosity. He agreed that it was nothing special, but pricey. Actually, there is a frozen beer slush machine you can buy online too. Check it out if you want to enjoy frozen beer at home!
ABERDEEN RICH ROLL ($12.80) consisted of prawn tempura, spicy sashimi, cucumber topped with BBQ eel, masago, sliced dehydrated garlic chips and mango&unagi sauce.
UNAGI DORIA was on their daily special. It consisted of BBQ water on mixed mushrooms rice topped with cheese, green onions and dried seaweed strips. It absolutely tasted delicious.
Overall, everything tasted pretty good but I still prefer Guu Original and Guu Garlic better!
