Miku has a bright and spacious interior with a beautiful view of the Vancouver Harbour. By the time we arrived, the restaurant was fully-packed. Luckily, we made a reservation ahead so that we could get the table right away.

ZEN BOX had a selection of four specialty items served in a traditional Japanese hinoki wood box. Four items consisted of Braised Beef Shank, Ebi Fritter, Aburi Albacore Tuna and Fresh Market King Crab Salad.
The Braised Beef Shank came with Yukon potato puree and a wasabi-veal jus. The beef was very tender and fully flavoured. Yet, I didn't really like it that much. Ebi Fritter was pretty good though. It had a deep-fried jumbo prawn on a bed of lettuce and tomatoes, which was topped with a sweet chili aioli. I recommend you to try Ebi Fritter before other items, since it gets colder pretty fast.
Aburi Albacore Tuna was lightly seared, topped with a Masatake sauce (a mixture of onions, garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil). Fresh Market Salad had shredded King Crab meat was on a bed of green salad with umami soy dressing.
MIKU SIGNATURE SUSHI had 5 pieces of speciality sushi including Hamachi with Avocado Puree,  Ebi Nigiri Sushi, Sunrise Roll, and 2 Aburi Salmon Oshi Sushi. Each piece was carefully seasoned so that you don't need any soy sauce. They were all tasty but didn't meet my high expectations. I know many other small restaurants that serve amazing Aburi sushi at a cheaper price. My favourite was Aburi Salmon Oshi Sushi. Unlike other restaurants, there was another piece of Salmon in the middle of the sushi rice as well. I wish they served this after we finished our appetizers though. It got cold by the time we finished appetizers.
FEATURE VANILLA BEAN & MANGO SORBET came with candied sugar and a lemon coconut cookies, and seasonal fruits.
