After taking a long nice walk along English Bay Beach J and I visited the Teahouse in Stanley Park. Since it was a sunny day and their outdoor area was beautiful with the nice view we got a table at the patio.
While we waited for our food, we munched on some complimentary bread served with warm butter.
We started off with TEAHOUSE STUFFED MUSHROOMS ($12) which consisted of crab, shrimp and cream cheese inside the mushrooms. It was a perfect bite size and the portion was good too. It tasted amazing and I admit it was the best stuffed mushrooms I've ever had. The cream cheese gave a soft, creamy texture first, then I tasted really fresh crab and shrimp inside, and finally the mushrooms bursting with rich flavours. We loved it so much even more than our entrees!
J got NEW YORK STEAK FRITES ($36), a 10 ounce prime stripling with some fries and onion rings. He said it tasted pretty good but he liked the ones from Seasons in the Park and the Kegs. I assume it didn't meet his expectation.
I ordered one of their daily special menu which was SEAFOOD ROSA PAPPARDELLE (very broad fettuccine). It had fresh lobsters, clams, prawns, scallops, mussels, salmon and cod as the main seafood ingredients. The lobster meat was abundant and juicy. I liked how they didn't overcook any of seafood.
We enjoyed our dinner as the ambience, service and food were all satisfying. I would come back here to try their other dishes soon (and stuffed mushrooms for sure!)
