Before I start, I didn't come here for food, but for some drinks when J and I were kind of bored in downtown. So, there's not going to be an intense discussion about food. Wild Tale features a variety of seafood dishes and local beers.
Complimentary Banana Bread. I didn't have any room for food, but tried anyways to write something about it. It was pretty good actually. The bread was moist filled with rich banana flavours.
They didn't allow us to drink only so although we were really stuffed, we got a random dish hat seemed to be the smallest, Scallop & Shrimp Ceviche ($8.75). So basically, the scallops and shrimps were cured in citrus and for the seasonings, chopped bell peppers and cilantro were added to give some extra flavours. You can scoop it with the served tortilla chips. I'm not a big fan of chips, so I just had some scallops only. It tasted not as good as I expected; there was a strong fishy smell and taste. J and I didn't really enjoy it.
Because of the hot weather, we both got a beer; Wildtale Ale ($6) for J and The Flying Pig Lager ($6) for myself.
The beer was fine but I wanted something different for my readers (!). So, I ordered a Strawberry Muddle ($6) instead - crushed strawberries, lemon, sparkling wine. I usually like all sorts of cocktails, but this one really disappointed me. It was definitely missing something. I think it lacked some sweetness and stronger strawberry flavours. It was too sour but not sweet.
We were satisfied with our lazy afternoon on the patio but quite disappointed with their food and drinks. I hope their other dishes taste better than this. If there's another chance I might return and try other ones.

+ Great patios
+ Fair, affordable prices
+ Good location

- I didn't like their Ceviche
- Strawberry Muddle cocktail wasn't good
